Title: Bakery/Kitchen Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic individual to join our small team as a Bakery & Kitchen Assistant. This role involves assisting in the baking process within our artisan bakery. No prior experience is required; however, a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and friendly personality are essential attributes for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with baking tasks, including preparing ingredients, mixing, shaping, cooking and baking various pastry products.

  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the bakery workspace, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

  • Collaborating with the bakery team to fulfil orders and meet production targets efficiently.

  • Assisting with packing and unpacking bakery goods for transport to and from market locations.

  • Assisting in inventory management, tracking stock levels and replenishing supplies as needed.

  • Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times in the bakery.

  • Providing feedback to management regarding product quality and suggestions for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently when required.

  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy objects, such as trays of baked goods, and stand for extended periods.

  • Flexibility to work a five-day schedule, including one weekend day, to accommodate farmers market and food festival schedules.

  • Basic math skills for recipes and inventory management.

  • A genuine interest in artisanal baking and food entrepreneurship is a plus.

Job Title: Weekend Sales Associate - Artisan Baked Produce

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and outgoing individual to join our team as a Weekend Sales Associate. As a Weekend Sales Associate, you will be responsible for selling our delectable artisan baked goods at various food festivals and farmers markets. This role requires a combination of sales skills, customer service abilities, and confidence in engaging with potential customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and prepare booth for sales at designated food festivals, country fairs and farmers markets.

  • Engage with customers in a friendly and approachable manner to promote and sell our artisan baked produce.

  • Provide information about our products, including ingredients, flavours, and production methods, to customers.

  • Handle cash transactions, operate card processing devices, and maintain accurate records.

  • Ensure the cleanliness and attractiveness of the booth throughout the event.

  • Pack and transport products, equipment, and supplies to and from event locations.

  • Assist in inventory management, including restocking products as needed.

  • Represent the company in a professional manner and uphold its values and standards.

  • Drive a van to various event locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in sales or customer service is preferred but not a deal breaker.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Confidence in engaging with diverse groups of people.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must be available to work weekends and flexible hours.

  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

  • Physical ability to set up and break down event booths and lift/move heavy objects.

  • Knowledge or interest in artisan baked goods and food products is a plus.

  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for representing our brand.
